The England and Wales High Court has issued a live blocking order which only has effect when live Premier League footage is being broadcasted.

That means that if you are using, let’s say, a Kodi set-top box to broadcast a streaming version of a live Premier League match, your Internet provider (BT, EE, Plusnet, TalkTalk, Sky or Virgin Media) will be obliged to restrict your IP address and block your connection during the duration of the match. New capabilities of the referred companies (automation technology, development of special coverage protocols, etc.) are changing the legal panorama, giving courts and plaintiffs more tailored enforcement options when it comes to illegal streaming of copyrighted materials.

You can find the full order here [2017] EWHC 480 (Ch)
